TOWN OF ASHLAND

PLANNING BOARD

March 23, 2017 8:00 PM

Board of Selectmen’s Room

Ashland Town Hall, 101 Main Street, Ashland, MA

Public notice is hereby given that Eversource Energy, has applied to the Planning Board under Chapter 249, Section 20 of the Town of Ashland Code and Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Section 3 to remove scenic road trees in the right-of-ways on the following scenic roads: Cherry Street, Cross Street, Fountain Street, Green Street, High Street, Myrtle Street and Winter Street and public shade trees on Pine Hill Road and Ponderosa Road.  Trees that are designated for removal will be posted in the field at least seven days before the hearing.  A Public Shade Tree Hearing and a Scenic Road Hearing will be held concurrently in the Board of Selectmen’s Room, Ashland Town Hall, 101 Main Street, Ashland, MA on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at which time and place all persons interested may appear and be heard.

A complete list of town trees designated for removal including information about the location, size and species of the affected trees and the reason for work proposed, is available for viewing in the Community Development and Health Office in Town Hall and at the Reference Desk in the Library during normal business hours.
