Services of the Ashand Public Library:
  • Get a Library Card
    • Ashland residents are encouraged to obtain a library card from the Ashland Public Library. Children must be 5 years old to have their own library card and children under 18 need a parent's signature before the application can be processed. Adults need to show proof of their present address by bringing a valid driver's license or piece of mail. Please call the library if you have questions. 
  • Renewals
    • Most print items (books, magazines) may be renewed twice, and audiovisual items (movies, books on tape, music CDs) once if there are no outstanding requests for them. 
  • New videos and DVDs cannot be renewed.
    • You may renew in person, by telephone or online. A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is required to access your account online. Please ask for a PIN at the front desk. 
  • Computers
    • Several computers are available for word processing and Internet searching on a first come, first served basis. Filtered access to the Internet is available in the Children's Room.
    • Printing fees are $0.15 per sheet for Black & White and $0.25 per sheet for color. Library staff reserves the right to restrict usage to 2 hours per day per person. 
    • Please sign in at the front desk to use a computer. 
  • Inter Library Loan
    • The library staff would be happy to help you obtain materials from other libraries that is not found in our collection. Please contact the library for assistance. 
  • Photocopier
    • A photocopier is available for public use. Copies are $0.15 each.
