The Highway division of the DPW is responsible for the maintenance and repair of public roadways, storm drainage systems, sidewalks, street signs, traffic signs, traffic signals, public parking lots and guard rails. The division also:

  • Installs, repairs and cleans storm water catch basins.

  • Removes roadside litter and brush.

  • Maintains traffic markings.

  • Maintains road and sidewalk safety in the winter by plowing and sanding.

Responsible for catch basin cleaning, street sweeping, traffic markings, snow plowing and sanding.
