Management Information
Systems Department (MIS), provides direction, support and implementation
of the computer-based technologies within Ashland's municipality. In
addition to supporting the main Financial Application systems for the
Town, support extends to various factions and their particular computer
systems and infrastructure; these factions include Public Safety
Departments, Public Works Offices, Community Center Offices, the Public
Library and extend to financial application support for School Business
Office.
Roles of this department
include data disaster recovery, server & network administration,
telecommunications support, staff training, and computer help desk
services.
Assuring Ashland's
technology is managed as cost-effectively possible and provides a solid
modern infrastructure for all the various municipal operations,
continues to be top priority for this department.
