Youth and Family Services provides advocacy and social service programs to youth and their families in the Town of Ashland. This office promotes the welfare and social growth of these members of the community, and works toward the treatment, prevention, and resolution of surrounding problems. A primary function involves acting as advisory intermediary between concerned agencies and entities to the affected individuals. Youth Advisory services include a court diversion program, which works closely with the Ashland Police Department. Youth and Family Services organizes the Ashland Food Pantry, which provides citizens of Ashland, who are in financial need, with food and personal care products. Donations and volunteers are always welcomed. The food pantry is located in the lower level of the Community Center. Current needs include: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Canned Vegetables, Canned Tomatoes, Soap, Cereal, Mac 'n Cheese, Tuna, Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard, Pasta Sauce, Juice, Shelf-Stable Milk, Grated Cheese (Shelf-Stable) The Screening for Fuel Assistance and the Ashland Emergency Fund are also completed through the Youth Advisory office.
