Youth & Family Services


Youth and Family Services provides advocacy and social service programs to youth and their families in the Town of Ashland. This office promotes the welfare and social growth of these members of the community and works toward the treatment, prevention, and resolution of surrounding problems. A primary function involves acting as advisory intermediary between residents and the appropriate agencies.


Youth and Family services includes a variety of services including fuel assistance, screening for the Ashland Emergency Fund, a court diversion program, which works closely with the Ashland Police Department, Book Club for seniors, Community Conversations, Substance abuse/Mental Health information and referrals.  Youth and Family Services houses the Ashland Food Pantry, which provides Ashland residents, who are in financial need, with food and personal care products.


Non-expired food items and financial donations can be dropped off during office hours-M,T-8a-2:30p and W,Th-8a-2pm.  Additional locations are APD, Town Hall, Post office, Dr. Zarrella's dental office, and Shaw's.  Financial donations can be sent directly to our office or sent to the Ashland Emergency Fund.  


The food pantry is located in the lower level of the Community Center, enter through the rear.


The Screening for Fuel Assistance and the Ashland Emergency Fund are also completed through the Youth and Family Services office.
