Ashland Wetlands Protection Bylaw and Regulations
The
Wetlands Protection Bylaw (Chapter 280 of the Ashland Town Code), provides a 25 foot No Disturb Zone to wetlands, banks, or waterbody. Wetlands that do not border on a body of water are not protected by the Bylaw. Certified and potential vernal pools are protected as well.
The
Wetlands Protection Regulations (Chapter 348 of the Ashland Town Code) provide performance standards for work in the Buffer Zone or No Disturb Zone. The Regulations also provide filing fees, waivers, mitigation and rules for hiring outside consultants.
