Hello friends, family, and generous Ashland supporters!
I am so grateful and excited to be running the 2017 Boston Marathon!
Running the Boston Marathon has always been a "dream” but never a “reality", until of course this year, as I have the opportunity to represent the Town of Ashland! As a lifelong Franklin resident, I was a little worried about the challenges of fundraising for a town in which I have limited personal connections to. Nonetheless, I am determined to show the Town of Ashland how thankful I am to have been selected as one of their runners.
For those of you who do not know about my “creative” fundraising approach, I have written a children’s book titled, “A Run Through Ashland”.
The story follows Anna, an Ashland resident, as she completes "a run through Ashland" in training for the Boston Marathon. In addition to shining light to some of the wonderful places and events of “The Clock Town”, the book also teaches readers basic information about training for a long-distance race.
100% of the book's profits will be donated to the Town of Ashland!
