Hello Family, Friends, and Ashland Community,

I am very grateful and honored to be running the 2018 Boston Marathon as a runner representing the Town of Ashland.

My husband Craig and I moved to Ashland 35 years ago, and we raised our two children, Chris and Kellie here. I have worked in the Ashland Schools for the past 15 years, and currently teach in the Kindergarten Literacy Program at the Warren School. I feel proud to live and work in such a wonderful town.

As a lifelong runner, I have had the opportunity to run many marathons and half marathons. This Boston Marathon will be very special for me. As a runner for the Town of Ashland, I will be able to raise money for our community through the Ashland BAA Grant Program. All the money raised will go directly to supporting educational, cultural, and sports activities in our town.

In the past, BAA Grants have been awarded to the following groups: the Ashland Schools, the Clocker Club, the Ashland Council on Aging, the Ashland Day Committee, the Ashland Fire Department Safety Program, the Ashland Police Youth Boxing Club, Ashland Youth Soccer, Ashland Pop Warner, Ashland Girl Scouts, Action for Healthy Kids, and the Ashland Historical Commission.

Together we can continue to fund programs that make Ashland a great place to live. Any donation would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you out there on race day!

Many thanks,

Betty Bogardus
