My name is Allie Gorman and I have been a resident of Ashland for the last 13 years where I live with my husband Pete, and our three boys, Tommy, Nolan, and Colton, otherwise known as The Gorman Boys. I grew up in Framingham and have been cheering on the runners of the Boston Marathon for as long as I can remember. It’s one of the biggest “holidays” of the year for me and my family. I’ve always dreamed of running Boston “someday” and after lots of support and encouragement from my family and friends, I finally built up enough courage to try.
I am so excited and honored that I am being given the opportunity to run my first marathon for the Town of Ashland. The money raised for the BAA Grant program will be put towards Ashland’s Special Programs and Social Services. We are fortunate to live in such a great town, with an amazing sense of community. I am blessed to have such a great support system with my family and friends who I know will be cheering me on and pushing me along my journey over the next few months of training. I am super nervous but extremely excited to be taking on this challenge.
I very much appreciate your support and I hope to see you out there on April 20, 2020!
