Hello friends, family & Ashland Community!
First, a big thank you for taking the time to read this!
My name is Danielle Morgan and I have been an Ashland resident for the last 16 years. Along with my husband Marc & our son Cam (10). I’m a full time Mom, Fitness Instructor, Substitute Teacher & volunteer for different committees through the town & school.
Last year I was honored to run the 2019 Boston Marathon as my first marathon representing the town of Ashland. It was an amazing and inspirational experience, one that I will always remember. This year I’m fortunate enough to have been selected again to represent our town.
As an avid runner for over 9 years, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in numerous 5K’s, 10K’s, a couple of half marathons & 6 Tough Mudders. They are all fun & challenging in their own way but the marathon is a different challenge in and of itself and I’m determined to complete it again.
This year, my inspiration is driven by my friend, running buddy & employer Louise Boland. She has been instrumental in my career and more importantly an incredible supporter of mine. Unfortunately, Louise has had some health issues this past year that have taken her away from her passion of running. This has made me realize how lucky I am to be physically healthy and able to run.
In addition to Louise, I represent all people who would love to run but for reasons beyond their control are physically unable.
This year I’m just as nervous and excited as I was last year, but I’m equally as determined! Last year I received tremendous support from many of you which I’m forever grateful for. The financial support was truly incredible. That said, the most important support was the mental, emotional & physical support. Those of you who ran miles with me, sent me encouraging messages, the reminders that you were all with me & seeing you on Marathon Monday was unbelievable! It truly gave me chills & still does.
The money I’ll be raising this year for the town of Ashland will help a number of charitable organizations including: Action for Healthy Kids, Ashland Day Committee, Ashland Council On Aging, Ashland Fire Department, Ashland Auxiliary Police, Ashland Youth Soccer, Decisions at Every Turn Coalition, Ashland Historical Commission & many more.
I’m truly blessed to have so much love & support. Bring on the training! I hope to see you out there on Monday April 20, 2020!
