Green Communities

Ashland is proud to be a designated Green Community by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2012. Since becoming a Green Community, Ashland has received over $638,425 in state funding to fund energy efficiency projects in Town buildings and roads. These Green Communities projects have included LED streetlight retrofits, an energy-efficient boiler at the Mindess School, hot water system replacements at Ashland Middle School, and exterior lighting upgrades across most municipal buildings and schools.
