Hybrid: Three Questions: An Evening With Author Jennifer De Leon

Tuesday, September 28, 2021

Ashland Public Library – in partnership with MetroWest Readers Fest and Ashland High School — invites you to join author Jennifer De Leon at AHS on Tuesday, Sept. 28 @ 7 pm.

Jenn, a Framingham native and currently a professor at Framingham State University, is the author of the YA novel Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From, longlisted for a Massachusetts Book Award in the “Must Read Middle Grade/Young Adult Literature” category. (She is also the author of White Space: Essays on Culture, Race, & Writing.)

What does “three questions” refer to? Come join us on the 28th and find out! (Hint: You’ll understand if you read Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From, but reading is definitely not a pre-requisite!).

Books will available for purchase and signing by Silver Unicorn Books. In fact, if you'd like to order a signed book from Jenn prior to the event, go to this link for Silver Unicorn Books and get ahead of the game (also, did you know that DAMWIF is on the 8th grade summer reading list? It is!).

This is a HYBRID program (we're excited to say!). We hope you can come in person but, if for some reason you can't, please register to receive a zoom link to join us virtually. You will be able to ask questions if you decide to join online. When you register, you will receive the link in the confirmation and reminder emails. Please check your spam folder if you don't see them in your inbox.

Due to the recent spike in COVID cases, masks will be required for the in-person event.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library and brought to Ashland in partnership with MetroWest Readers Fest, The Ashland High School - specifically, the CARES (Clockers for Anti-racism and Equity) Team, SPARK Kindness (Natick),  The Goodnow Library (Sudbury).

We're very pleased that this event is funded, in part, by the generous support of Avidia Charitable Foundation

After attending this program, please join Jenn again on Thursday, Sept 30th at the Sudbury Library, when she will be discussing her book White Space: Essays on Culture, Race, and Writing
