POSTPONED Virtual - A Conversation with Author Michaeleen Doucleff: "Hunt, Gather, Parent"

Thursday, June 2, 2022

Due to presenter illness, this program has been postponed. We'll be post as soon as we have a new date. So sorry!

Join us for a virtual discussion with Michaeleen Doucleff, author of the New York Times bestseller, "Hunt, Gather, Parent".  Deborah Farmer Kris, a parent educator, education journalist and children’s book author, will lead the conversation and dig into the incredible journey Michaeleen took to research and write this book.  Attendees will have a chance to ask questions following the discussion.

Aesop's Fable is delighted to bring you this event, hosted by the Sherborn Public Library .  We're thrilled to be collaborating with the Holliston Public Library,  the Medfield Public Library, and the Medway Public Library to bring this program to our communities. This event, as are all of our events, is free and open to the public.

You can purchase a copy of the book here or check out a copy from your local library.

The oldest cultures in the world have mastered the art of raising happy, well-adjusted children. What can we learn from them?

In Hunt, Gather, Parent, Michaeleen sets out with her three-year-old daughter in tow to learn and practice parenting strategies from families in three of the world’s most venerable communities. Filled with practical takeaways that parents can implement immediately, Hunt, Gather, Parent helps us rethink the ways we relate to our children, and reveals a universal parenting paradigm adapted for American families.

Deborah Farmer Kris is a parent educator, education journalist, children’s book author, and founder of Parenthood365. Deborah works as a columnist for PBS KIDS for Parents and writes about education for MindShift, an NPR learning blog. Her work has also been featured in national publications including The Washington Post and The Boston Globe Magazine.
