Virtual: Picnicking with the Roosevelts -- Baskets, Blankets, and Diplomacy
Tuesday, June 14, 2022
Learn how the Roosevelts found comfort and relief from the suffering and uncertainty of the Great Depression and World War II through the simple act of picnicking with family, friends, and royalty. In June 1939, for example, FDR and Eleanor hosted the King and Queen of England in Hyde Park for a picnic to cement relations between the two countries. Led by Jeffrey Urbin, Education Specialist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
