Virtual: Space Travel’s Effects on Health
Wednesday, June 29, 2022
As humans dream of pushing the frontier of space, the question remains: “how do we protect the universe’s only (known) sentient life?” Space travel and its effects on astronauts have been studied since the earliest days of NASA, and there are many risks for which to prepare. Join this presentation about space’s effects on the human body and mind and consider: how far can we really go? Led by Amanda Thompson, a volunteer for the Solar System Ambassador program through NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She is also a local high school Earth Science teacher and a lover of all things space.
