Sustainability Coordinator/Aggregation Program Change

In an effort to further its sustainability goals, Ashland will be adding a sustainability coordinator to its ranks and posting for the position soon. A coordinator will be an important resource for residents, businesses, and town government moving forward. Coordinators have the ability to apply for green energy grants, assess our preparedness to manage the effects of climate change, work on a townwide composting program, and help develop a Net Zero Energy plan for Ashland among other things.

Instead of being funded through the tax base, the position will be funded largely through our electricity aggregation program. As this necessitates a change in rate, a revised notice for the program has been included. We look forward to filling this position later in the summer and look forward to the impact this position can have on both the town and the environment.
