Ashland Town Forest- Invasive Plant Walk

Join us for a short walk in the woods to identify invasive plants that have crept into our yards and the Town Forest. Information on why and when we should put time and effort into controlling them, techniques to remove the plants, and strategies for reducing their return will be discussed. We will talk about buckthorn, barberry, knotweed, bittersweet, garlic mustard, swallow-wort, Norway maple, and burning bush.

Saturday Needlecraft Club *For Adults

Bring your project (any portable needle arts welcome - knit, needlepoint, crochet, zentangle, quilting, sewing, etc!) to our casual gathering where you can work, talk, and share ideas together. We're trying two times - Mondays and Saturdays - for two months to see which is the best for our participants. At the end of October, we'll choose one to move forward.
