General comment:
The site contractors are aware of critical times during the day when traffic to the train station is high and will make all efforts to not adversely impact or delay commuters. Please expect delays and plan accordingly. Traffic traveling into the station in the morning is a priority over traffic leaving the station. One lane will remain open during construction.
Week ending 3/10/2017 construction activities:
The roadway contractor completed installation of sewer up to the RTD site and began installing water main along the road way at two locations. Ledge has been encountered in some locations. Eversource gas did not work all week.
Next week (3/13- 3/17) construction activities:
Water main construction will continue along the edge of the roadway by two separate crews. The existing edge of the roadway will be removed to allow for installation of the water main and the future location of the proposed walkway. At this time, Eversource has not indicated that they will be working in the roadway next week.
Week ending 3/3/2017 construction activities:
The roadway contractor continued installation of the sewer from the ball field toward the RTD site. All trenches have been paved. Eversource gas did not work all week.
Next week (3/6 - 3/10) construction activities:
The roadway contractor will finish installing sewer on Monday having reached the RTD site. Tuesday the water main construction will begin at the Dunkin Donuts driveway installing the 12 inch water main toward the train station. At this time, Eversource has not indicated that they will be working in the roadway next week.
