Week Ending 1-27-17
The Contractor installed sewer pipe in Leland Avenue from 50 Leland Avenue to Alden Street and applied temporary pavement to the trenches. Contractor also installed brick inverts in previously installed sewer manholes.
Week Ending 2-3-17
The Contractor will continue installing sewer pipe from Alden Street to Main Street, and is expecting to complete the section this week. Once completed the contractor will install brick inverts, which requires by-pass pumping of the sewage around each manhole.
The following Weeks
The contractor has 70 linear feet of sewer main replacement to complete within the Kidde-Fenwal property.
The Contractor will be replacing approximately 400 linear feet of water pipe from Main Street to 50 Leland Avenue.
Once the sewer replacement is completed in the roadways, the contractor will move to the Clyde to Christy easement section of the project.
As the winter season is here, the Contractor will avoid working when it snows or rain and will make every effort to patch the trenches before a snow storm.
Finish Road Restoration: Permanent paving work will be completed during the spring/summer season. This will allow settlement in the trenches, if any, to occur before finish paving.
