Update: 5/3/20 ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Project 1: Summer Street Water Main Replacement Project
Start Date: 5/4/20 (Monday)
End Date: As soon as possible. Hopefully the work will be completed no later than 5/8/20 (Friday).
******* Road Closure: 7 AM to 4 PM ********
Location: Road closed from Cherry Street to Park/Esty.
One lane open from Main to Park/Esty
Scope of work: Remove temporary asphalt over the water trench and repave. This road will be milled and resurfaced curb to curb as part of the Downtown Project at a later date. TBA
Note: The Trench on Linden Street will also be address between 5/4 and 5/8.
Detour: Traffic will be detoured down Cherry Street or Park/Esty.
Project 2: Alden Street Gas Main Replacement (Church Ct. included)
Start Date: 5/6/20 (Wednesday)
End Date: Tentatively 5/22/20 (Friday)
******* Partial Road Closure: 7 AM to 4 PM ********
Location: Alden Street will be partially closed. One lane will remain open.
Scope of work: Replacing existing gas main.
Project 3: Cross Street - partial Milling and Resurfacing
Start Date: 5/4/20 (Monday)
End Date: TBA (see note below)

Detour will be in place.
Location: Summit to Howe (Road closed from Summit to Howe - residents only)
Scope of work: Milling and resurfacing bridge deck.
Note: The DPW will mill the bridge deck on Monday and possibly Tuesday. As long as we do not run into any problems - we should be out of there fairly quickly.
After we mill, we will schedule the paving. Most likely this will be scheduled sometime during the following week.
Project 4: Concord Street Bridge
The Bridge deck was resurfaced on 4/29/20. The next step will be to strip the roadway. Eventually, we will replace the guardrail and dress up the shoulder. No road closures expected at this time.
